Home and community nurse qualifications
To be considered for employment opportunities within the Resident Aged Care sector, all nursing staff must meet the following legislative requirements:
- A Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Aged Care Nursing, along with current industry experience and employment within the nursing sector. Additionally, a valid Senior First Aid certificate is required.
- EN, EEN, and RN nursing staff must hold current AHPRA registration.
- Submission of two industry-related references.
- Proof of the right to work in Australia, including documentation such as an Australian Birth Certificate, Australian Passport, or Valid VISA with work rights.
- For employees working in Community Care, a valid Australian Criminal Record Clearance from either the Federal Police or a National Police Clearance is mandatory. This clearance must not be older than 3 years from the date of issue.
